Pre-Purchase Notice
The cross-shaped sizes of switches from different manufacturers vary slightly. Additionally, after multiple insertions and removals, the switches may wear down and become smaller. Even minor wear on the cross-shaped part can cause the keycaps to loosen to varying degrees. Due to the characteristics of metal keycaps, the tightness when installing them may vary, potentially resulting in them being either too loose or too tight, which is considered normal.
(I) Too Loose
- Place a small piece of plastic wrap or tissue on the cross-shaped switch to increase the contact area.
- Use needle-nose pliers to gently pinch the stem of the keycap to adjust it to the appropriate size.
- Purchase a metal keycap adjuster to make adjustments yourself.
(II) Too Tight
- Press down firmly. If this does not work, use a small tool to pry it open.
