Custom Keyboard Guide / Customization Notice

Please read this guide carefully before placing a custom keyboard or custom keycaps order. It explains our customization options, production time, supported profiles, layout notes, printing process, color expectations, and important return policy terms.

Overview

AULA Custom Keyboards and Custom Keycaps are made for customers who want a personalized typing setup. You can create your own unique design by selecting colors, layouts, fonts, languages, legends, images, logos, or other visual elements supported by our customization system.

Because each custom product is made according to your selected design and preferences, please review all design details carefully before placing your order.

Custom products are made to order and are not eligible for return or refund unless there is a confirmed production defect or quality issue.

Customization Options

Depending on the product and customization tool available, AULA Keyboard may support the following customization options:

Chassis Color Choose the keyboard base color that best matches your style.
Keycap Colors Customize different key zones, including modifier keys, alphanumeric keys, WASD, ESC, number row, Enter, and spacebar.
Image Upload Upload images, logos, artwork, memes, anime-style designs, or patterns and position them on keycaps.
Text & Legends Customize legends, text placement, font style, language, and font color where supported.
Front or Side Print Select front-printed legends or side-printed shine-through legends where available. Please note that side-printed shine-through legends are only available in QWERTY, while front legends can still follow your selected layout.
Full Layout Design Apply a full-layout background image or layer multiple design elements for a unique look.

Supported Layouts

We support a wide range of keyboard layouts depending on the selected model and customization option. The default layout is usually QWERTY.

Supported or requestable layouts may include:

  • QWERTY
  • AZERTY
  • QWERTZ
  • Dvorak
  • Colemak
  • Turkish
  • Workman
  • Swedish
  • Turkmen
  • Azerbaijani
  • Lithuanian
  • Other custom layouts upon request, if production allows
If you need a special language layout or custom legend arrangement, please contact our support team before placing your order to confirm whether it can be produced.

Side-Printed Shine-Through Keycaps Notice

Some custom keycaps may support side-printed shine-through legends. These side legends are designed to allow RGB lighting to shine through the side characters.

Important: For side-printed shine-through keycaps, the side legends are only available in the QWERTY layout. If you choose another layout, such as AZERTY, QWERTZ, Dvorak, Colemak, or another language layout, the front legends can still be customized according to your selected layout, but the side-printed shine-through legends will remain QWERTY.

This means that your front legends and side legends may be different if you choose a non-QWERTY layout. Please review this carefully before placing your order.

Keycap Specifications

PBT High-quality textured PBT material.
Dye-Sub Dye-sublimation printing for durable legends and long-lasting color performance.
Model-Based Key count, layout, profile, and compatibility may vary depending on the selected keyboard model.

For some models, such as custom F75 keycap sets, the set size may include approximately 80 keys. The exact key count and compatibility may vary depending on the product model.

Supported Profiles

AULA Keyboard currently supports custom keycaps in selected profiles depending on the keyboard model and customization availability.

Cherry Profile Cherry profile is currently supported for custom keycap production on applicable models.
KCA Profile KCA profile support is being gradually made available for selected models. Availability may vary by product, layout, and production schedule.

Production Time

Please allow approximately 5–7 business days for your custom keycaps or custom keyboard design to be produced.

Each custom set is made to order and requires additional time for design review, printing preparation, production, quality inspection, and packing.

Production Time Around 5–7 business days after order confirmation and design submission.
Shipping Time Shipping time starts after production is completed and the package is dispatched.
Business days do not include weekends or public holidays. During peak seasons, holidays, or high order volume periods, production may take slightly longer.

Design File and Upload Notice

If you upload images, logos, artwork, text, or other custom design materials, please make sure that the files are clear and suitable for printing.

Recommended Design Practices

  • Use clear, high-resolution images whenever possible.
  • Avoid very small details that may be difficult to reproduce on keycaps.
  • Check spelling, symbols, language, and layout carefully before submitting your design.
  • Make sure important text or artwork is not placed too close to keycap edges.
  • Confirm that you have the right to use any uploaded images, logos, characters, or artwork.
Customers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of submitted custom content, including text, logos, images, artwork, and layout instructions.

Color Difference Notice

Colors shown on digital screens are displayed using RGB light, while physical keycaps are produced using real materials and dyes. Because of this, the final product may not be an exact match to the preview shown on your screen.

For most custom designs, we aim to achieve a close visual match to the submitted design. However, due to differences in screen display, material absorption, dye-sublimation temperature, dye behavior, and production conditions, normal color variation may occur.

Screen Preview Colors may appear brighter or different depending on your monitor, phone, browser, or display settings.
Physical Product Final colors are affected by PBT material, dye absorption, printing temperature, and production process.
Slight color differences are normal for custom dye-sublimated keycaps and are not considered a product defect.

Legend, Icon, and Alignment Tolerance

Custom keycaps are produced using dye-sublimation technology. During high-temperature printing, slight material expansion or movement may occur.

As a result, minor shifts of legends, icons, images, or printed elements may occur. Small alignment differences that do not affect product function are considered normal production tolerances.

Minor production tolerances, including slight color differences, screen display differences, and small legend or image alignment variation, are not considered quality defects.

Returns and Refunds for Custom Products

Because custom keyboards and custom keycaps are produced according to each customer’s selected design, layout, colors, personalization details, and uploaded materials, they cannot be resold as standard products.

Therefore, custom products are not eligible for return or refund due to personal preference, expected color differences, screen display differences, minor production tolerances, incorrect customer-submitted design information, or a change of mind.

Quality Issues

If you believe your custom product has a production defect or quality issue, please contact our support team as soon as possible after receiving your order.

Please Provide

  • Your order number.
  • Clear photos of the product and packaging.
  • Clear close-up photos or videos showing the issue.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Any relevant design preview or order confirmation details.

After receiving the information, our team will review the case. If a confirmed production defect or quality issue is found, we may offer a remake or another appropriate solution.

Before You Place a Custom Order

Before submitting your custom order, please carefully review the following:

  1. Confirm Your Layout Make sure the selected layout, language, and key arrangement match your needs.
  2. Check Side-Printed Shine-Through Legends If you choose side-printed shine-through keycaps, please note that the side legends are only available in QWERTY. Front legends can still follow your selected layout.
  3. Check Your Design Review uploaded images, colors, text, spelling, symbols, and placement before checkout.
  4. Understand Production Time Custom production takes approximately 7–10 business days before shipping.
  5. Accept Normal Tolerances Slight color differences and minor alignment variations may occur due to the printing process.
  6. Review the Return Policy Custom products cannot be returned or refunded unless there is a confirmed quality issue.
